Singapore marked 56 years of independence on Monday (Aug 9) with a ceremonial parade at the Float @ Marina Bay. About 600 participants from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the Home Team were involved. They were joined virtually by 200 participants from uniformed youth groups and social and economic organisations.
