Singapore needs to build up talent in the sustainability sector and this process should start at a young age - from secondary school, said NMP Shahira Abdullah. She suggested integrating sustainability issues into the curriculum, getting experts and professionals to mentor interested students, and offering internships with green companies and organisations. In Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 3), Dr Shahira also sought updates on plans by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment to offer scholarships in climate-related areas.
