Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 4: Rahayu Mahzam on helping students with special educational needs reach their full potential

04:00 Min
Students with special educational needs should be given opportunities to reach their full potential, and to learn and play with their “typically developing” counterparts, said Parliamentary Secretary for Health Rahayu Mahzam in the House on Wednesday (Mar 3). She suggested looking into fields where the skills and inclinations of these students can be developed through a revised curriculum, intentionally adapting programmes and school spaces to regularise cross-interaction, and better equipping educators to manage diverse student profiles.
