Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 4: Maliki Osman on support for disadvantaged, ITE, polytechnic students

The UPLIFT Community Pilot has yielded positive results, with improved school attendance among at least 80 per cent of its students, Second Minister for Education Maliki Osman announced in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 3). In February, the pilot was expanded to include more students and is targeted to reach students from 70 schools by the end of the year. Dr Maliki also announced enhancement plans for ITE's curricular structure, streamlining it to enable more students to attain Higher Nitec in a shorter duration.
