Citing a recent announcement by the Government that Singapore's sustainability measures would include nature-based solutions, MP Cheryl Chan in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 3) asked what these solutions were, as well as how research and development would be supported in this area. With regard to strengthening Singapore's food security, she stressed the importance of integrating creative ways of farming into urban planning. She also proposed introducing courses at the tertiary level for students with a keen interest in sustainability.
