Singapore’s public libraries of the future will feature digital services to enhance experiential learning, Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information Sim Ann told Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2). In the revamped Choa Chu Kang Public Library, set to reopen this year, those features will encourage appreciation of natural landscapes and biodiversity. Users will also be able to “interact” with selected books through augmented reality, using their mobile devices. Ms Sim also spoke about enhancing digital access for all and improving last-mile postal delivery infrastructure.
