The COVID-19 crisis has spurred many companies, including SMEs, to digitalise. But not all SMEs have made equal progress and the COVID-19 pandemic has widened the gap between the digital "haves" and "have-nots". Meanwhile, home-based businesses have also emerged or even flourished during the crisis. Describing these as “digital starters”, MP Sharael Taha sought help for them to navigate the ecosystem of support schemes available to go digital. In Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2), he also asked how inexperienced workers can secure opportunities in the growing ICT industry.
