As Singapore aspires to be a greener nation, it is inevitable that certain industries will face decline, said MP Sharael Taha in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2). "We need to balance and manage these workforce transitions, especially when most of the jobs that will be lost are lower wage roles," he said. He urged the Government to update its industry transformation map to include workforce transition strategies for low-wage workers, seniors and persons with disabilities.
