Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 3: Sharael Taha on digital poverty

Digital poverty divides Singaporeans despite improved digital literacy for all and this gap has widened during the COVID-19 pandemic, said MP Sharael Taha in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2). Stressing the need for digital-literate individuals to have the devices, connectivity and purpose to immerse in a digital environment, he asked how the Ministry of Communications and Information was helping the economically vulnerable in this area.
