Singapore is a small market and it has to be realistic about the current "low appetite" for international leisure travel. Still, it should use the COVID-19 crisis as an opportunity to drive innovation and raise productivity to brand Singapore as an exciting, safe and secure destination, said MP Saktiandi Supaat. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2), he wanted to know how the Government plans to support the tourism industry. He asked if there are plans to work with regional tourism boards to give the sector a much-needed boost in the post-COVID world.
