Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 3: Liang Eng Hwa on Jobs Growth Incentive to hire and train Singaporeans

The various schemes under the Jobs Growth Incentive (JGI) have helped to stave off massive local unemployment and created new job openings and placements, said MP Liang Eng Hwa. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2), he wanted to know how JGI will support the hiring and training of locals this year. He also wanted to know how JGI and the Ministry of Manpower's agencies will help Singaporeans access new opportunities.
