Legal processes are being simplified and streamlined, and designed with the ultimate end-users in mind. The new Rules of Court will be written in modern, layman language. Forms and processes will be simplified. Second Minister for Law Edwin Tong said this in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2), as he outlined moves to ensure access to justice for all. He said the courts are leveraging technology to make legal processes more accessible and convenient, and to channel timely and useful information. They are also working to raise awareness and improve support structures for litigants-in-person.
