Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 3: Edward Chia on scaling up business partnerships for economies of scale

No single economic entity can be self-sufficient and survive in a silo. Every business entity needs to collaborate and co-exist, said MP Edward Chia. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2), he stressed the need for enterprises to collaborate and achieve greater economies of scale, especially for Singapore's small domestic economic base. He said this effort must be scaled up for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
