Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 3: Desmond Choo on keeping workplaces COVID-safe for economic recovery

The Ministry of Manpower must continue to stay focused on ensuring that workplaces remain safe from the coronavirus until Singapore has successfully tackled the COVID-19 pandemic, said MP Desmond Choo. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2), he said Singapore has been able to moderate unemployment rates and maintain industrial peace, even during very difficult times. He expressed confidence that Singapore's economy will survive, with as many workers as possible remaining in their jobs.
