Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 3: Cheng Li Hui on the cost of running dormitories

Dormitory operators have said they expect to see at least a 50 per cent increase in costs as they implement enhanced guidelines introduced to improve workers' well-being, said MP Cheng Li Hui in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2). She asked if JTC, which used to manage the dormitories before they were privatised and provided low-cost accommodation to workers, would return to the scene.
