In answering MPs' questions on how Singapore can remain relevant, Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2) stressed the need for the country to turn challenges into opportunities and become a safe harbour for capital, talent and ideas. "First, strengthen our position as a global hub for business and technology. Second, entrench ourselves as a critical node in the global value chain to make us hard to displace. Third, build real and unique capabilities in our enterprises and workers, so that they can compete in a more globalised world," he said.
