Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 2: Rachel Ong on leveraging medical technology in the SAF

The healthcare sector is undergoing rapid digital transformation, from telemedicine and the use of virtual reality in treatment to wearable medical devices in preventive medicine. The Singapore Armed Forces is also leveraging technology to better serve national servicemen, said MP Rachel Ong in Parliament on Monday (Mar 1), citing its virtual care initiative. She asked for an update on this initiative and how else the Ministry of Defence would be tapping digitalisation to enhance medical support for soldiers.
