07:16 Min
Singapore is not out of the woods yet when it comes to the COVID-19 pandemic, said MP Murali Pillai in Parliament on Monday (Mar 1). He said legislative measures have helped tide Singaporeans through the crisis so far, such as temporary relief from inability to fulfil contracts, rental relief and a simplified insolvency programme. He asked what further legislative measures can be expected and whether it is time to think of a framework legislation that can be employed swiftly when the next crisis strikes. Mr Murali also asked what progress has been made to modernise probate processes.
