About 11 per cent of people in Singapore are non-Internet users and about 11 per cent of resident households are without a computer. MP Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap cited this data in Parliament on Monday (Mar 1), as he called on the Government to help the low-income and the less tech-savvy when they need to make online applications. He suggested that the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority work with the People's Association to help such people at designated community centres.
