Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 2: Desmond Tan on scams, road safety

In Parliament on Monday (Mar 1), Minister of State for Home Affairs Desmond Tan said the Ministry of Home Affairs would be tapping its partnership with the community to combat scams and in the design of policies related to the private security industry. In response to questions on road safety and traffic fine repayment, he pointed out that traffic accident fatalities had decreased and traffic offenders in financial difficulty could appeal for an extension to the fine payment period.
