What is the Ministry of Home Affairs doing to deter foreign interference in Singapore’s domestic politics and affairs, asked Deputy Speaker Christopher de Souza in Parliament on Monday (Mar 1). Pointing to efforts by hostile foreign actors to meddle in the US elections and UK referendum on Brexit, he said Singapore is particularly vulnerable to such threats because of its openness, multiracial society and global interconnectivity.
