Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 2: Christopher de Souza on access to justice for the vulnerable

In Parliament on Monday (Mar 1), Deputy Speaker Christopher de Souza called for more support and more channels for the vulnerable to have access to justice, especially as the COVID-19 crisis is likely to have put them in an even more precarious position. However, he cautioned against being overzealous about providing funding for the defence of criminal cases such that the process would be abused.
