Singapore's economy is highly dependent on broader economic developments beyond its shores. As a global hub, the country needs borders to reopen and for people to have the freedom to travel, in order to thrive. Vaccination will help to make this possible. MP Chong Kee Hiong, who highlighted this point in Parliament on Monday (Mar 1), wanted to know how Singapore will contribute to international efforts to distribute COVID-19 vaccines. He also asked what more Singapore can do to help ensure that its closest neighbours have access to COVID-19 vaccines.
