Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 2: Alex Yam on Singapore-Middle East relations

Even amid the closing of borders and restriction of movements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Middle East has shown "some promise of peace" in the region, said MP Alex Yam in Parliament on Monday (Mar 1). "Singapore and the Middle East have always had high-level exchanges, economic cooperation and people-to-people linkages," he added, asking what implications the recent developments in the Middle East would have on Singapore's foreign policy.
