Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 1: Patrick Tay on Public Service's role in helping workers stay employable

The labour movement is concerned about the challenges faced by workers in the sectors which have been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as segments of the workforce affected by technological changes, said MP Patrick Tay. Speaking in Parliament on Friday (Feb 26), he wanted to know how the Public Service, as a "significant employer", can step up support for local workers, especially those from hard-hit sectors.
