Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 1: Melvin Yong on upskilling in Public Service to meet challenges

The Public Service must be ready to respond to rapid global changes in the "new normal", said MP Melvin Yong. Speaking in Parliament on Friday (Feb 26), he wanted to know how the Public Service Division (PSD) is preparing its officers to respond to changes and remain adaptable to serve Singapore effectively. He also urged the PSD to drive the adoption of flexible work arrangements and set the tone for companies in the private sector.
