Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 1: Liang Eng Hwa on managing Government finances

The Government needs to ensure that resources are prudently and efficiently allocated, especially as the fiscal situation is more constrained even as spending needs rise during the COVID-19 pandemic. MP Liang Eng Hwa made that point in Parliament on Friday (Feb 26). He asked how the Ministry of Finance ensures that this is done while maintaining a timely response to public needs, and how the public sector is gearing up for the impact of digitalisation on its delivery of services.
