Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 1: Hany Soh on ‘booklet’ to support first-time parents

First-time parents may feel helpless or even stressed, said MP Hany Soh in Parliament on Friday (Feb 26). She suggested providing them with a “milestone booklet” which could contain information such as a vaccination checklist for mothers-to-be, recommended dates to sign up for prenatal classes, how to spot signs of labour or postnatal depression symptoms, and a list of support systems available to cope with the first few years of parenthood.
