Budget 2021 debate: Sharael Taha on speeding up real transformation in digitalisation

Singapore must move from pockets of digitalisation to fully adopting sustainable transformation and creating fundamental shifts in business models, said MP Sharael Taha in Parliament on Wednesday (Feb 24). He urged ministries to work more closely to support this with cohesive programmes and mentorship for companies, especially SMEs. Mr Sharael also called for worker training to be made more effective by measuring improvements rather than course take-up rates, and for industry transformation maps to be updated with strategies to help vulnerable workers transition to a post-COVID economy.
