Budget 2021 debate: Don Wee on financial help for businesses and leveraging data technology

While the Government encourages innovation and new engines of growth, start-ups and newer or smaller companies struggle to get their loans approved. In Parliament on Wednesday (Feb 24), MP Don Wee thus urged the Finance Ministry to help reduce subjectivity in the assessment processes by financial institutions. He also called for better use of data technology to reduce the administrative work and processing time for assistance applications from needy families.
