Budget 2021 debate: Abdul Samad Abdul Wahab on workforce transformation, wages, retention

More employment opportunities must be created for Singaporeans, said NMP Abdul Samad Abdul Wahab in Parliament on Wednesday (Feb 24). He touched on strengthening the Singaporean core in the workforce, transforming the workforce through training and expanding the Progressive Wage Model to other sectors. He also urged employers to avoid terminating employees and send them for training instead.
