Amy Khor on action against illegally modified cars

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has issued an average of 610 notices of offences per month to owners of illegally modified vehicles in the past two years. These include the installation of non-compliant exhaust systems, lighting systems and tinted windows. Senior Minister of State for Transport Amy Khor said this in Parliament on Monday (Mar 1) in reply to an MP's questions. She added that anyone who illegally modifies a vehicle can also be penalised under the Road Traffic Act and that LTA would take action against car workshops for illegal modifications.
