Singapore finally has its own Manolo Blahnik stand-alone store

You can now live out your Sex and the City shoe dreams.

The very first episode of Sex and the City premiered 20 years ago this very month. All of its romantic and controversial moments aside (like how Mr. Big headed to Paris to win Carrie Bradshaw back or how Bradshaw managed to buy expensive shoes every other week on a writer’s paycheque?) who could forget Carrie Bradshaw’s best shoe moments – in particular, her opening of a wedding registry at Manolo Blahnik?  That’s every shoe-obsessed girls dream right there!

Now, you too can live out your Sex and the City shoe dreams at Singapore’s brand new Manolo Blahnik stand-alone store. The brand, which is also currently stocked at Takashimaya Departmental Store, first came to South-east Asia when socialite Jamie Chua opened a Manolo Blahnik boutique at the Hilton Singapore Hotel in 2007, and another at Marina Bay Sands in 2010. Both of Chua’s stores closed in 2011. In 2016, Manolo Blahnik partnered with Bluebell Group to restructure and optimise its distribution in select Asian territories… which brings us to the brand new stand-alone store.

The new store, located at #B1-80A The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, will stock Manolo’s imaginative seasonal creations and his well-loved classics such as the iconic electric-blue Hangisi shoes Mr. Big proposed to Bradshaw with.

The space, designed by the brand’s long-standing architect Nick Leith-Smith, was inspired by Singapore’s local culture and its distinctive landscape of colonial and contemporary styles.

Head down to the new store to discover if a pair will make you utter those infamous words – “hello, lover.”
