2 motorcyclists taken to hospital after accident with car near Woodlands Checkpoint; 26-year-old driver helping police with probe
SINGAPORE — Two motorcyclists, aged 34 and 26, were taken to hospital after an accident early on Wednesday (Dec 20) morning at the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) towards Woodlands Checkpoint.
The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said in response to TODAY's queries that they were alerted to the case just after 12.10am.
In a video seen on SG Road Vigilante’s YouTube channel, a Volkswagen car in a long queue of cars on the right-most lane of an expressway just before the Woodlands Checkpoint is seen signalling to change lanes.
As it moves onto the left lane, a motorcyclist crashes into its left front.
Shortly after that, another motorcyclist crashes into the rear of the car.
SCDF said that the two motorcyclists were taken conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
A 26-year-old male car driver is assisting the police with investigations.
