Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok has spoken up to defend his wife, Moka Fang, who has been dealing with rumours that she attended a training camp, so to speak, that teaches women how to land rich and famous husbands.

Kwok was at a press event to promote his latest film, I’m Livin’ It, on Tuesday (Sep 8) when he kept getting asked about the issue.

He spoke up, saying, “I have already stated that those (rumours) are completely baseless and the reports are all fake.”

Kwok lamented the fact that people who spread rumours over the Internet do not have to be held accountable for their actions, while the parties involved get hurt.

“My wife is not in (showbiz) and is only half a public figure, and those reports have been damaging to her. As her husband, I definitely must support her, and I hope those irresponsible people will stop,” he added.

The 33-year-old Fang became linked to this “training camp” when an old photo of her with the supposed founder of the camp, a woman named Amy, surfaced in June. Also in the photo was Luna Xuan, wife of singer Wilber Pan. Rumours then spread that both Fang and Xuan were students of Amy, who taught them how to snag their celebrity spouses.
